The Lucky Few: 1 in 772 babies are born with Down syndrome every year - Pretty lucky odds. But ask a parent of a child with Down syndrome and they’ll tell you that THEY’RE the lucky ones.
These teethers were created after seeing a specific need for these amazing, almond eyed littles.
The design itself is an arrow which represents the development of many with Down syndrome experience - being pulled back before soaring!
Children with Down syndrome often:
•Get teeth in an order that doesn’t follow the expected schedule. The fletching of the teethers is a perfect way to gets to those in the back
•Have low hypotonia (low muscle tone). These are a tool to help strengthen and build
•Have oral/sensory stimulation needs and benefit from having something to gnaw
(The hole to attach to clips is under my thumb 🙈)
